The Vine Cottage Inn was built in Bath County in 1900 and began accepting guests in 1905, when horse and buggy was the main mode of transportation to Hot Springs, Virginia. Back then, tourists could leisurely sit on her stately front porch, sip a beverage and watch history happen. While many changes have occurred over the past 120 years, this grand lady still loves to play hostess to all travelers. Her spirit of warmth and serenity calmly waits for visitors to enter so that she can help relieve their burdens for the duration of their visit.

Guests can enjoy the tranquility of the ten uniquely decorated rooms (each with a private bathroom), visit with friends and family in the library and/or living room next to a cozy fireplace, or over a delicious 3 course breakfast in the family dining room or on the front porch, weather permitting. Guests can also experience the peacefulness of a rocking chair or the two-person swing on the porch, all while staying connected with the outside world via free Wi-Fi if they choose. The Vine has a distinguished history of hospitality, reminiscent of days gone by and demonstrated by her current owners.

Dave and Tammy Hahn purchased the Inn in 2018. Together, they have over 60 years of combined hospitality experience and are dedicated to delivering exceptional guest service to new and returning guests. Upgrades have occurred throughout the inn including guest rooms, public spaces and exterior improvements.

For those travelers looking for a quiet respite, a romantic getaway, to explore all the beauty Bath County has to offer, or even to partake in some of the activities of her famous next-door neighbor, the Omni Homestead Resort, the Vine Cottage Inn welcomes them with open arms!
