Welcome to Historic Vine Cottage Inn
Welcome to our distinctive bed and breakfast in Hot Springs, Virginia, providing the warmth of a true country inn for more than 108 years! The inn first accepted travelers and visitors in 1905, and it still boasts a simple elegance and charm that encircles and welcomes all guests. You will find us in Bath County in the magnificent Allegheny Highlands. Located in a stone’s throw of the nearby world-famous resort and spa, The Omni Homestead Resort, we provide our guests with the true relaxation of an inn with access to a day spa experience.
Vine Cottage Inn, originally built about 1900 as a private residence, began to offer lodging to travelers visiting Bath County in 1905 with the draw of the therapeutic hot springs and great mountain vistas. In the late 1920’s, suites were added to the inn, and many rooms were retrofitted with baths. In order to offer three meals a day, a larger kitchen was also included in the renovation. Vine Cottage Inn became a full service country inn offering guests affordable accommodations and meals while “taking the waters” and relaxing in the great mountain environment. During the next seventy-plus years, Vine Cottage Inn was owned by a number of innkeepers who continued to provide reasonably priced lodging to visitors from the far corners of the world.
Jo and Jonah Windham acquired Vine Cottage Inn in 2004 and have since been the Innkeepers/Owners, making Vine Cottage Inn an extension of themselves while welcoming returning and new guests. They have upgraded and updated every guest room and the public space. They are always looking for new and better ways to make every guest feel like they have “come home to grandma’s” for their visit to Hot Springs.
